Stephenson&Turner’s integrated team of architects and engineers strive to design with a sustainable mindset, focusing on minimising a building’s environmental impact while maximising its performance and occupant comfort.
Many Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) opportunities stem from these principles, including reducing energy and water demand, capturing renewable energy, and managing waste. Implementing these in our designs can also cut construction and operational costs as well as increase a building’s value.
S&T has a number of Green Star NZ accredited Professionals within our team as well as Passive House designers, a Homestar Assessor, and a NABERSNZ Accredited Assessor.
Our team can provide an EDS service to complement our architectural and building services design of your building. Alternatively, we can also offer a standalone specialist role including feasibility reviews and Green Star Assessment.
As recognised leaders in Environmentally Sustainable Design, Charles Thaxter chose to complete an internship with S&T as part of his Master of Building Science at Victoria University Wellington. Charles created this booklet focusing on the ESD elements of our projects. Download your copy here.
