Royal New Zealand Maritime School

This building was commissioned by the Royal New Zealand Navy and opened by the Governor General in February 1996.

The building was designed to provide the complex electronic systems, tactical trainers and simulators required for ANZAC frigate personnel all one one site.

While being sympathetic with the neighbouring residential areas, internally it is bright and clean with wide, uncluttered passageways. Nautical features such as portholes, stainless steel and exposed steelwork are incorporated in the design.
