Marianne has been leading various projects within the Education Team in Wellington. Her strategic thinking and design acumen comes to the fore through all aspects of each project, from client briefing, concept development and documentation through to delivery.

She believes in the power of consultation and collaboration, eliciting the ‘good stuff’ from conversations with people as well as designing with clarity and purpose. She has a strong focus on researching forward-thinking pedagogies dedicated to a meaningful change in schools through the design of spaces they operate within; the constant impetus for every project.

Prior to S&T, Marianne has worked on public/civic and residential projects in Auckland. Her Masters thesis MadWomen: Legitimising Public Domesticity, a study on the visibility of women and architecture not only demonstrates her advocacy towards the future of the profession but has also gained her recognition as a national finalist at the annual NZIA Graphisoft Design Awards.
