Taranaki

Based in our New Plymouth office, Daryl oversees S&T’s Taranaki operations while servicing projects elsewhere in New Zealand, and provides support to the wider S&T network sharing his 25+ years’ of experience across a wide range of sectors, project scales and complexity, and delivery models.

Daryl maintains and enjoys an active role in all project phases from initial investigations, planning and design through to delivery on site, and he firmly believes that clear communication and collaboration between all stakeholders and the design team throughout the project is a critical factor in a project’s success.

His recent projects include MoJ Courthouse upgrades, Redevelopment of Contact Energy’s Administration & Control Building at the Stratford Power Station, Waitara High School’s New Food Lab, the New Wharekura (Technology Centre) at Te Pi’ipi’inga Kakano Mai Rangiatea, the New Learning Support Centre ‘Te Waka Manaaki’ for the Special Education Faculty at Spotswood College, Highlands Intermediate Upgrades, Devon Intermediate Fire Damage Remediation & Teaching Space Refurbishments, and the New Northern Health School in New Plymouth.

Outside of professional practice Daryl is kept busy with his two daughters, both of whom are at Mangorei School where he is in his third term on the Board. Otherwise he enjoys our great outdoors, and when time allows can be found mountain biking, kayaking or honing his skills on the ski slopes.
