B.ArchSt ; M.Arch (Prof)
Catherine started at Stephenson&Turner in January 2015 to join the education team, soon after completing her Masters of Architecture at Victoria University.
For her, Architecture is about making spaces for people that can adapt to user needs whist also installing a sense of place. Her thesis research questioned how these ideas could be achieved in the dairy industry; considering the application of architecture within a transient workforce. Alongside Catherine’s studies she also worked in conjunction with Victoria University and the Cancer Society of New Zealand to investigate the implications of warm shade for COLA (covered out-door learning areas) in primary schools, co-presenting a paper at the 2014 NIWA conference.
In her spare time Catherine enjoys skiing, photography, travelling, baking and spending time with friends and family.
