Alan Seeley

Alan is one of New Zealand's most experienced architects in health facility and laboratory design. After completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Facility Planning from the Medical Architecture Research Unit at the University of North London, Alan went on to gain a MPhil Degree in Community Psychiatric Units.

He continued working as a Senior Research Officer at MARU, conducting numerous evaluation projects on health facilities, including Nursing Units, Paediatric Hospitals, CSSDs, OPD Clinics and Community Care Units for the Department of Health and Social Security.

On his return to New Zealand in 1981, Alan joined S&T and led the briefing and detailed planning of numerous healthcare and research projects. He travels extensively to attend conferences and to tour healthcare and research facilities in the UK, USA and Australia to keep abreast of international trends in this field. Alan was appointed a Principal of S&T in 1990 and has, since 1995, led S&T’s university, medical research and healthcare projects.
