B.ArchSt ; M.Arch (Prof)
Abbie completed her thesis on the movement of the physical body in architecture at Victoria University Wellington. During her studies she was recognised for her a-class efforts in architecture when she and fellow students won First Equal for an International I-rec Competition based in the Favela’s of Brazil.
She is now a trusted member of the education team here in the Wellington office. The team’s philosophy is to provide school environments which are purposeful, encourage collaboration, involve sustainable design and reflect the individual schools pedagogy and surrounding community.
Considered a ‘creative type’ Abbie brings an artistic point of view whilst maintaining a pragmatic approach to her work enabling her to create buildings that are both beautiful and functional.
In her free time you’ll find her renovating her house, creating hand-crafted embossed images or retreating back to her home town of Gisborne. She is also a hard-core cat fanatic, so any free moment is with her inherited family cat - Mr. George.
